Robert Van de Weyer (born 4 December ) is an English writer and priest.

Early life

After leaving school Van de Weyer worked as a night porter in a brothel in London, and as a butler in a stately home in Yorkshire.

He travelled overland to India, where he studied Hindu philosophy, and taught Maths in a village school. He became Christian living in an ashram that regards Christ as the Guru.^[1] He spent a year trekking across the mountains of Ethiopia visiting monasteries. ^[2]
