Speaking of platforms, MTN Project Fame birthed one of Nigeria's shining stars, Adetoun Adekoya, who got her big break when she emerged as the second runner up of the Season Five edition of the show.

In this interview with TOMI FALADE, she takes us on a journey into her music and family

When did you first discover your musical talent?

It is something I inherited from my parents; I was born into a musically literate family so it was quite easy for me to follow their footsteps. My dad helped me to refine my musical skills, he was my first music coach.

I began singing at 13, but I became a professional backup singer at the age of 18. That was when I started singing at the studio and backing up for different artists; it took me five years to learn that.
